We are pleased to announce the next series on Wheelchair and Seating prescription scheduled for March, Numbers are limited, so book your attendance to ensure you don’t miss out.
This is an intermediate workshop addressing the seating and wheelchair mobility needs of the adult population. We will take the process from the beginning: including client assessment, postural mat evaluation and possible solutions for abnormal postures. We’ll then translate this information into product prescription.
The day will cover Case by Case adult client assessment with a focus on the fundamentals of what, why, when and how of seating:
– What are we trying to accomplish?
– What information needs to be gathered during the seating assessment?
– How can products, features and options enhance clinical outcomes?
– How can we translate the assessment findings into appropriate product selections?
Featuring core seating and mobility products, we’ll also have the opportunity to check out the latest products from the Jay seating and Quickie wheelchair range.
The guest speaker to help us carry out this workshop is Amy Bjornson from Sunrise Medical. Amy is a dynamic presenter who has lectured extensively on seating and mobility, wound management and the physical therapy treatment of spinal cord injured clients.
